Infrared heat warms us without warming the air around us (don’t you feel warmer when the sun comes out from behind the clouds?) and penetrates our bodies, rather than only heating the skin. The FIT Bodywrap generates infrared heat in the 5-15 micron wavelength, the same wavelength as the sun and our bodies produce, so it is safe and natural.
During a FIT Bodywrap session, far infrared heat is generated very close to the body and can penetrate 1-2 inches, heating areas where fats and toxins have been stored without generating uncomfortable heat on the surface of the skin. As many fats and toxins are soluble at temperatures of just over 100 degrees, these fats, and toxins, including cholesterol, heavy metals and acids, can be dissolved and excreted through our sweat or kidneys.
Heating the body can activate over 2 million sweat glands as the body seeks to cool itself. Most people will produce substantial amounts of sweat during a 50 minute FIT Bodywrap weight loss session. While there can be a short-term loss of weight due to this sweating, most of this weight is immediately regained with re-hydration. When we accumulate body fat, blood circulation becomes worse. As we accumulate more body fat, our circulation decreased even more. Because of a lack of blood circulation, we cannot metabolize or burn body fat. In addition, very little heat is being circulated to that part of your body. This is what we call “cold spots”. When we take away the heat from that area of your body and it cools, the fat then turns from subcutaneous fat into cellulite. Subcutaneous fat is very soft and easy to lose. How long does each customer session take?
The customer will have 5 minutes to prepare themselves for the fit in the privacy of their own room. The infrared session is 50 minutes long.
What parts of the body can be targeted?
The Fit is a full body wrap similar to lying in a sleeping bag. The shape allows for full coverage and the avoidance of any cold spots. During the session, you can personally adjust the level of heat within 4 different zones. The 4 zones are arms, abdomen, upper legs and lower legs.
Should I drink water before or after a session?
It is essential to drink water before, during and after a session; allowing the body to stay hydrated and replace body fluids that have been sweated out during the session. Drinking a lot of water will help eliminate the toxins in your system that the body wraps target.
